Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is one of the prominent polymers of the semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer class. PEEK material is widely used in dentistry due to its chemical and physical durability, biocompatibility and favorable mechanical properties such as its elastic modulus close to human bone (4 GPa). Lighter prostheses are obtained by applying composite material over PEEK.
